Cookie policy

This policy explains what is stored on your device when you visit this website (workwing.io). We keep it simple on purpose: we do not use advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies, so this site does not show a cookie consent banner.

Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), consent is needed before storing or reading non-essential information on your device. We only store what is strictly necessary to run the site or a preference you actively set, and our analytics store nothing on your device at all, so no consent is required.

Strictly necessary cookies

Our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, sets a small number of security cookies (such as __cf_bm and, where challenged, cf_clearance) to tell humans from bots, mitigate attacks and keep the site available. These are essential to deliver the site you requested and are exempt from consent. They are short-lived and contain no profile of you.

Preferences you set

When you switch between light and dark mode, we remember your choice in your browser's local storage under the key mk-theme. This is set only when you act, stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is used solely to render the site the way you chose. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, such as page views, referring sites and performance. Both are privacy-first and cookieless: they do not set any cookies, do not store anything on your device, do not fingerprint you and do not track you across other websites. Neither collects information that identifies you, which is why they need no consent and no banner. Plausible is an EU-based service that keeps its data in the EU.

Links on this site that point to our app may carry campaign tags (for example utm_source) so we can see which pages bring people to WorkWing. These tags live in the link itself and store nothing on your device.

No advertising or third-party tracking

We do not run advertising pixels, social media trackers, session replay or any third-party profiling on this site. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

The WorkWing app

The product app (each workspace runs on its own workwing.app subdomain) is a private, signed-in service. It uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect your session, first-party cookies that remember preferences you set (such as language and theme), and, on billing pages, fraud-prevention cookies set by our payment provider, Stripe. None of these are used for advertising or cross-site tracking. The app also uses Plausible Analytics to see which features are used, without cookies and without storing anything on your device. How we handle data in the app is covered by our Privacy policy.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary security cookies may stop parts of the site working. Because we use no consent-based cookies, there is nothing here for you to opt out of.
